Streetbees Mobile App

Streetbees develops a human intelligence platform that uses Artificial Intelligence and geolocation technology collects and analyzes offline consumer behavior.

By analyzing real-life moments collected from its own global community, the chat-style app is used to share moments from their daily lives via videos, photos, and text. Through applyingadvanced natural language processing technology to the results, Streetbees uncovers not just what they do, but also why they do it, and what drives them – and predicts what they may do next. The company partners with brands across the consumer goods, media and entertainment, retail, and insurance sectors.

Lo-fi and Hi-fi Wireframes

The following screen is just an example of some low-fidelity wireframes used to create many screens of the app.

The first version of lo-fi wireframes allowed me to run early usability tests and discover the priority revisions that need to be implemented ASAP. That decreased the number of iterations to the later versions with all effort being put into creating the hi-fi interface.

Usability Testing

While working on this project I learned to really trust the research and discovery process as I started working on it with a very different assumption and initial idea on how to solve the problem. In the end, I needed to satisfy different user needs, which wasn’t in fact the chaotic plant exchange culture, but the decisions user make in the first place. I learned to not get too hung up on the solution and be flexible with the ways of solving the problem. It’s great to have general ideas and inspirations – the process of idea evolution can take us much further.

Conclusion

Ideally in the long term, this project could go beyond the digital experience and address the physical touchpoint in the process, that would overall improve the service.
